Analyze the impact of the Enlightenment on political thought: Students will be able to evaluate the influence of Enlightenment ideas on political philosophy, government structures, and social movements. Compare and contrast different forms of government: Students will be able to distinguish between absolute monarchies, constitutional monarchies, and republics, and analyze their strengths and weaknesses. Evaluate the causes and consequences of major historical events: Students will be able to analyze the causes, course, and consequences of significant historical events, such as the French Revolution and the American Revolution. Understand the concept of colonialism and its impact: Students will have a clear understanding of colonialism, its motivations, and its impact on colonized territories and the colonizing powers. Analyze the political developments and challenges of the 18th century: Students will be able to identify and analyze the major political developments and challenges that shaped the 18th century.
