- By the end of this course, students will be able to: Understand different types of media and their functions: Students will have a comprehensive understanding of print, broadcast, and digital media, and their roles in society. Analyze media messages critically: Students will be able to critically evaluate media messages, identify bias, and distinguish between fact and fiction. Develop media literacy skills: Students will develop the skills necessary to navigate the media landscape effectively, including critical thinking, information evaluation, and media analysis. Become responsible media consumers: Students will understand the ethical implications of media consumption and be able to make informed decisions about the media they consume. Recognize the impact of media on society: Students will understand the influence of media on individuals, communities, and society as a whole. Evaluate the ethical considerations in media production: Students will be able to analyze the ethical implications of media production, including issues of bias, accuracy, and privacy.
